designated wines back in the cellar:
2006 Murrill Vineyard Sangiovese
($20)
2006 Old Man Murrill
Zinfandel ($20)
and the 2006
Murrill Vineyard Carignane ($22)
AND - an added bonus
- John Smith (owner/winemaker for Obscurity) found a
few cases of the extremely popular 2003
Carignane hiding in his cellar, so we have that now,
too!
It originally sold at
$18/bottle, but we are discounting it to
$15/bottle - so those of you that would love
some more of that terrific wine, email or call me and I will
set it aside for you.

The Amador County Wine Cellar is a quaint wine
bar located in the Kitchen Store in Amador City, opposite Andrae's Bakery
The
focus of this wine bar is to showcase wonderful wines from
Amador County Wineries or wines made from Amador County
grapes.We also feature the smaller, out-of-the-way wineries
and those that do not have a tasting room. We want to provide
exposure to the wineries that are not on the normal wine-tasting
route.
As the
cellar is a wine bar (and not a co-op tasting room), we
are also able to sell wine by the glass.
We will
usually have 7 wines open for tasting. Often times we will
have more than one bottle of a particular varietal open,
(a mini-flight) - great for comparisons.
We also
offer tastes of Gourmet chocolates from Chocoholic.com
that are available for purchase.
Our selection
of wine related gifts is awesome!
Currently we have 12 wineries and 26 wines. We have some really wonderful
wines. A regular compliment we get is that "all
the wines are really good!" Stop by and see for yourself!
We are
the perfect place to stop by and taste many excellent wines
from Amador County in one place. And if you like what we
have to offer, you can expand your experience by visiting
other Amador County Wineries in the area.
